Runoff regulation by terrestrial ecosystems. This general estimate is based on the difference between the observed runoff and the hypothetical runoff from an area in the absence of any vegetation (տես այստեղ). Thus, it takes into account both evapotranspiration and precipitation recycling as a result of ecosystem functioning. Valuation of water-regulating ES for the Kenozero waterched in Arkhangelsk region of RF (Petrov et al., 2022) was made using InVEST package and takes into account only the effect of evapotranspiration on runoff, which is expressed mainly in a decrease in runoff. However, as the work of other researchers shows, the recycling of atmospheric moisture that has been evaporated by ecosystems can not only compensate, but also increase the total runoff.
